In collaboration with Bennett University, Gautam Buddha University, Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, IAPS
AMPERE'25 is a student-led initiative by members belonging to the community of IAPS Local Committee Noida in collaboration with colleges in the Noida region (such as Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, Bennett University, Gautam Buddha University, and Amity University). IAPS aims to bridge the gap between students from internationally while advocating scientific literacy, which we are extending locally. The event is also supported by the Optica chapter active at Bennett University.
The community behind AMPERE identified the need for a networking platform for STEM students at the bachelor and master's levels. We aim to provide an annual meetup where young scientists from all scientific backgrounds can showcase their research, learn about developments in adjacent fields, and engage in career development talks and social causes.
While many students research and condense their work, few get opportunities to share it with peers or those in similar fields. AMPERE aims to create a comfortable, friendly space for students to discuss their research, connect, and build meaningful, lasting relationships.
The participation fee is 300 INR and you can choose to be an audience, present a student lecture or a poster, and fee is 350 INR if you present both a poster and a student lecture. This fee will include a lunch, 2-time tea, a conference kit, and the fun experience you will get from the social events, networking opportunities, watching your peers present and presenting your own research.
The International Association of Physics Students (IAPS) is an association of physics students and student societies from around the globe, working to promote peaceful collaborations among them. IAPS currently represents more than 90,000 physics students through 32 Territorial Committees (TC) and 14 Local Committees. IAPS is affiliated with partners like EPS, IUPAP, ISC, and such.
The idea for this conference also came up due to ICPS (international conference for physics students) which is an annual event hosted by different TCs. It is a week-long conference where physics students from all over the world gather. We belong as a part of TC India with around 200 members from different cities.
IAPS also allows Committees to organize an international theoretical competition called PLANCKS (physics league across numerous countries for kickass students) and TC India holds a prelim to take part in it called IYPL (Indian Youth Physicist League).
